Palin’s Political Jujistu
For months and months Obama’s Democratic and Republican opponents have been arguing that Obama is just a great speech maker with little political experience. It was a strikingly ineffective argument for everyone who tried it.
Now the Democrats find themselves using the same ineffective argument against Palin. It’s like the GOP somehow tricked them into forgetting to stay on message. They’re own strength is being used against him.
If they plan to win this, the Democrats need to go back to making this election be about change, arguing that Palin and McCain essentially represent four more years of Bushism. Every second they waste talking about whether she’s been tested, saying she needs to sit down for interviews with the media bigshots who imagine they are kingmakers (hint: no she doesn’t) or complaining about speech writers and teleprompters is a lost opportunity.
