Lights Out: Earth Hour at 8 p.m. Tonight

Today between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., people in timezones all over the world will be turning off their lights for Earth Hour. World Wildlife Fund started the event as a way to “deliver a powerful message to the citizens and leaders of the world about the need for action.”

I wish I’d known about this before my carbon reduction off-set began. Because off-setting this global event is going to be a lot of work. Maybe I should sign up volunteer off-setters. So who’s with me?

Let’s start by turning on every light we can at 8 PM tonight. And I mean everything. Open your refrigerator people.
