Governor Paterson: Cocaine Pioneer

New York governor David Paterson was born in 1954. He recently told Dominic Carter that he used cocaine when he was 22 or 23. So that’s 1976 or 1977, pretty early in the first big cocaine craze. We’re talking George Jung, Blow-era rather than Miami Vice.

It also suggests an involvement at a fairly young age with disco culture of New York City. Does anybody have old Studio 54 pictures of Paterson handy?
